for BUSY PROFESSIONALS WITH BIG GOALS

How It Started

After a few years of teaching and refining my brain-based classes, I realized the only way I was going to reach more people and help students cement their learning was to create my own resource library.

Starting from scratch

In theory, it didn't sound that complicated but when I got into the nitty gritty of it (and had to figure out which end of the audio cable went where), I was completely overwhelmed. Other than parenting, creating this resource was the biggest project I had ever taken on and the existence of Go Brain, Go! is serious testimony that these tools and strategies really do work.

My brain isn't strongly wired in Planning or Working Memory and I remember lying on the office floor at the beginning of this thinking there was no way I could pull it off. Thankfully, I have some brain skills that are strong and believe me, they kicked in regularly to help the weaker ones.

In the very early stages of putting all this together, I decided to document how it was going so if you'd like a laugh, check out the video at the bottom.

The frosting on the cake

At the end of the day, the one thing that keeps me inspired and excited and completely dedicated to Go Brain, Go! is helping people like you achieve your goals. Whatever it is that you want to do, I know that supporting your brain is the fastest, most efficient way to make it happen.

Last month, I got an email from someone who said, "Just had to tell you that tonight I clicked on the cartoon about Mental Flexibility and then ended up watching every video in the section. Really good stuff! I especially benefitted from “Considering Others’ Opinions” and “Supporting People with Low Mental Flexibility.” That would include a couple of family members and, truth be told, me, depending on the topic or circumstance. It was a great reminder for me in how I deal with my daughter—and how she deals with me. Just as her brain doesn’t seem wired for play acting and making up stories on the fly, mine is certainly not wired for software engineering. Thank you for these videos."

I am thrilled to have created GoBrainGo.com so you can follow your roadmap to success. Have a great journey and I look forward to seeing you inside!
